Examples on the calculation of Shipping Charges

It is always important to determine the actual weight and the dimensions of the package as the shipping charge is calculated based on either the actual weight or the volumetric weight, whichever the heavier one is. This applies to each individual package.

If the actual weight is heavier than the volumetric weight, the chargeable weight will be based on the actual weight.

If the volumetric weight is heavier than the actual weight, the chargeable weight will be based on the volumetric weight.

Conversion Formula:
1 inch = 2.54 cm
1 kg = 2.2 pounds

How to Determine Your Chargeable Weight?

Volumetric Weight	(Length 30cm X Breadth 20cm X Height 25cm) / 5,000cm = 3KG	(Length 20cm X Breadth 10cm X Height 15cm) / 5,000cm = 0.6KG
Chargeable Weight (based on the heavier one)	3KG	3KG

As per freight industry practice, chargeable weight is calculated based on volumetric weight or actual weight whichever is higher. Volumetric weight is calculated by [Length X Breadth X Height]/5,000 Centimeters.
